I really liked all the labs we have done so far this unit. The
air pressure ones were the straw activity with the kool aid and then the straw
video. In this demonstration I learned how a straw works like I didn’t think it
had anything to do with science I just thought it works because it just does.

The Petri dish with water on the glass tank
was interesting because I never thought that air particles cause enough pressure
to keep the Petri dish up. Figuring out the units of air pressure was pretty
easy because I remember how to do proportions. One thing I did do on my
worksheet when I was converting Celsius to Kelvin I was trying to make it
difficult by making a proportion when really all I had to do was ad 273 to the calcium
number.
The garbage bag with straws was really interesting because a
person is pretty heavy and to be able to lift them a few inches off the table
by blowing air into a straw Is amazing. The last lab we did was learning the
relationship between pressure and volume of a gas. I learned that it is an
indirect relationship because as the volume goes up the pressure goes down.
From this unit so far I have learned a lot. Even though we don’t
do a lot of homework or worksheets in class we still learn a lot from experiments.
I like this way of learning because it is nice not to have to bring a big book
home but still be able to feel like I learned something new every day. I also
like how before the quiz we did a review summary sheet because I think it
helped me just to pull back some of the things that might have been done a
while ago. And I think it helped me to study because all I had to do was look back
at that one sheet.

Very well done again,Meliissa. You did a great job of summarizing the activities and your thought about it. Keep up the strong efforts. Score: 4/4
